武漢で発症した新型コロナウイルスが猛威をふるっているようです。感染して亡くなられた方々にお悔やみ申し上げると共に、これ以上の感染拡大に至らぬよう、また、治療法が早く見つかるよう願っています。

I’m sorry for many loss of coronavirus patients in China. I wish to prevent from its farther spreading and to quick discovering for medicine.

パキスタンは中国と接してますし、武漢にはパキスタン人留学生が500人いるとのことですが、今は冬で、中国との国境が閉まっていますので、ここチトラール地方でのリスクは低いと思ってます。まずは元気でいることが一番の予防ですね。

Pakistan shares the border with China, and the news said there are 500 Pakistani students in Wuhan. However, due to the border is closed during the winter, so that here in Chitral area is low risk of infection. I think best solution would be to keep yourself healthy.

 年が明けてから、一カ月が過ぎようとしています。それまで、「世間で言うともう無理の効かない歳になってるから」と自分を甘やかして、伸び切ったゴムのように、だら～んとした日々を送っていた感じでしたが、12月末から「キラン図書室」活動が再開したために、今は伸び切ったゴムが張っている状態です。

One month has past since the new year started. Before opening our Kiran Library on Dec. 26, I had been spending lazy days excusing myself “Well, I’m now in such a age, unable to work hard, better take care of myself”. Now since opening our Library, I have been working quite well and get better.

1月25日、この日だけ天気予報が快晴だったので、用事をしにチトラールに出た。しかし道路は雪で覆われ、我々のボロ車のタイヤにはチェーンが巻かれておらず、けっこうなストレスだった。

On Jan. 25, only that day was the clear fine day on the weather forecast, so I went to Chitral for some works. Although the road was covered with snow, and tyres on our old passenger vehicle were without chains brought me quite stress.
