In the afternoon of 25 Auguest flood of rocks and mud has attacked from the mountain on my Balanguru village as well as Kalashagrom village.
8月25日の午後、土石流が再び山から私の住むバラングル村を襲った。そして今回はカラシャグロム村も被害を被った。

In the afternoon of 25 Auguest, flood of rocks and mud has attacked again as 7 years ago on Balanguru village as well as Kalashagrom village. It was sudden heavy rain and soon I heard somebody shouting "flash flood had occurred somewhere upper stream". So I filled the big kettle with water from the pipe before it got muddy. Although I didn’t take so serious about the situation due to my house stands not so close to the river and I live in upper stairs of my house which seems stronger than other houses in the village. I continued my craft work on sawing machine.
After 30 minutes or so maybe, the rain became harder, when I looked outside from the kitchen through the window, I saw a violent mudflow beside the kitchen running down to my beefsteak plant garden, and in a second all my beefsteak plants flashed away.
それは突然の大雨だった。誰かが「上流で鉄砲水が起こった」と叫んでいるのを聞き、水道の水が泥水になる前に急いで大きいヤカンに水道の水を溜めた。とは言え、うちは川から離れているし、私は２階に住んでいて、家屋は村の家々よりも頑丈だから大丈夫だろうと、クラフト用のミシンがけを続けていた。
30分ほど経っただろうか雨脚が強くなったので、台所の窓から外を見ると、何と、すぐ外の、元来水が通る場所ではないところから土を削って泥水が下のシソの庭にドドドーとすごい勢いで流れているではないか。「あれ、こりゃ何だ。何だ」と言う間に、私の大事なシソ畑が土石に覆われてしまった。
Rushing to the backside, the rooftop of the library and toilet, I saw mudflod from the above mountain into around my house which muddy water already came through the backside wall to the toilet and veranda and running down to the ground, in front of the library, then filled Jamat’s garden with mud where looked like mud river no more green. These mudflow from the mountain seems be flashing down toward my place not the nearby.
台所（２階）から背後のトイレに続くベランダ（１階の図書室の屋上になる）に出て見ると、山から土砂がほとんど私の家屋を目指すようにしてすごい勢いで流れ落ちてきているではないか。すでにトイレとベランダの壁から泥水が侵入してきて、図書室の表に流れ落ちて、ジャマットの広い緑の庭を泥の川に変えている。どうも土砂はうちを目指して落ちてきているようだ。

Terrible condition of "Saifullah Guesthouse"/サイフラー・ゲストハウスの惨状
Thinking facing mishap I called Yasir to get advice what I should have to do. Then Yasir told he himself was in trouble, mud flow attacking his family guest house where he was stacked in. With his words, I realised the situation become much worse than I had imagined.
After awhile the rain became gentle, then within a hour completely stopped. So I got out my house to check what had happened around the village. Although many roofs of the houses have debris of mud and dead leaves, inside the houses were not damaged.
However, I was astonished to see the scenery of down the edge of the village. The several green maize fields which almost grown-up and near to harvest time were all destroyed by mudflow with stones and rocks. Alas, moreover I was so shocked to see Saifullah Guest House where stands down the village. It was no more the guesthouse once was. The wall devided from the road was completed destroyed under the stones and rocks. All 5 rooms on the grounds were full of mud with stones and tree branches, windows glass and net were destroyed. Furniture and beddings were covered by mud.
こりゃ大変だ、どうしようかと、活動の相談役のヤシールに電話すると、「うちの（サイフラー）ゲストハウスに土砂が流れ込み身動きが取れない」と言うではないか。いやあ、これは思った以上にやばい状況にあるとようやく気付いた。それからしばらくしたら雨脚は弱まり、1時間も経たないうちに雨が止んだので外に出てみた。
近くの家々は屋根やベランダが枯葉混じりの泥水が流れた跡があるものの、家の中の被害は大してないようだ。しかし、私の家と反対側の村の下方と接する数家族のトウモロコシ畑は、収穫期を目の前にして土砂を被ってしまい、瓦礫の荒地と化していた。そして荒地を下方に歩いて「サイフラー・ゲストハウス」の前に来た時、「アバヨー！（あらまあ）」と思わず声を出してしまったものの、その後の言葉が出なかった。ゲストハウスは泥の中にあって、かっての様子は全く留めていなかった。道路と隔てる石壁は完全に壊されて土石と岩の下、
一階の５部屋は土砂や木々の枝が窓と扉を破って、奥のトイレまでぎっしり詰まっていた。ベッドやテーブル、そして寝具は泥まみれの状態で、所有者でなくてもこの惨状を見ると涙が出そうになる。
