「Akikoの家」のキラン・ライブラリー/ Kiran Libray in Akiko’s House

この冬もチョウモスの祭り、豆集めの行事が終わった12月26日からキラン・ライブラリーを開きました。

Kiran Library in my house has started from 26 Dec. 2020.

　元旦には麓の町のNGO、AVDPの代表者たちがライブラリーにやって来て、村のコミュニティ・メンバーと共にミーティングをもうけ、このライブラリーを教育支援の一環として使う計画を話し合いました。もちろんこちら側は異存はありません。昨年はコロナで冬休みが明けたらすぐに学校閉鎖となり、生徒たちはほとんど学校で勉強していないので、このライブラリーがその穴埋めに少しでも役にたてば嬉しいものです。というわけで、今年は読書というよりも勉強に重きが置かれるようになっています。

On 1 Jan. the manager and staffs from AVDP (Ayun  Valley Development Programme) came to our Library to have a meeting with community member to discuss for using our Library as a part of their education project. Of course I agreed. So now our library activities become  more study contents like a school. 

It is acceptable because all schools have been closed so many months due to Corona which pupils and students almost forget how to study.  

We have three teachers at our Library, Yasir who teaches and manages for many years, Aqbar Butto sent by AVDP and Shakir Khan voluntary teaches to Senior students. All are from our village .
